What is GDPR?

A.: The General Data Protection Law (“LGPD”) aims to establish the rules that must be followed so that the processing of personal data takes place without violating people's privacy.

A.: LGPD presents the Controller and the Data Operator as processing agents. In short, the Controller has the responsibility to define what can be done with the data, while the Operator must obey the Controller's orders when processing data at his discretion.
 

What are the rights of data subjects?

A.: The LGPD brings several rights that can be exercised by the holders in relation to their data, the main ones being:
- Confirm that the company processes your data, have access to what the company does with your data and with whom it shares it;
- Request correction of wrong or outdated data;
- Request the deletion of data that are unnecessary for the stated purpose or that are excessive;

A.: The LGPD does not list the technical and information security measures that must be adopted by companies.
